Fulshear’s growth is almost hard to believe: the city had just 1,170 residents in 2010 and is now estimated near 55,000-65,000 — a roughly 47x increase in under 15 years, making it one of the two fastest-growing cities in the entire United States for several years running. Nearly all of that growth is new construction, concentrated in Cross Creek Ranch and the surrounding master-planned communities off FM 1093 and the Westpark Tollway extension.
Why New Construction Changes the HVAC Conversation
When a city goes from a few hundred rooftops to tens of thousands in under a decade, HVAC issues skew toward installation quality rather than aging equipment. We see a lot of builder-installed systems that are technically to code but sized off a generic square-footage table rather than a real Manual J load calculation — which shows up later as one room that’s always warmer than the rest, or a system that short-cycles despite being brand new. We also handle warranty-adjacent work: helping homeowners understand what’s covered by the builder or manufacturer versus what’s a maintenance issue.
